England manager Gareth Southgate will take a 30 per cent pay cut to his salary amid the coronavirus crisis. The Football Association (FA) are expected to confirm the move next week, but it is believed that Southgate himself has already accepted the terms.

Speaking to an FA spokesman said: "The financial implications of the coronavirus are not yet known however, as a not-for-profit organisation, we want to ensure that we take the appropriate course of action to support the wider organisation and our employees. "We will make a further announcement on our next steps in due course." Southgate has been in charge of England since 2016, and became something of a national hero when he lead the side to the World Cup semi-finals in 2018.
