Manchester United look set to end Dean Henderson's dream of becoming their No.1 goalkeeper next season. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told David De Gea he will remain his first choice goalkeeper for the foreseeable future.
The move will see Old Trafford chiefs agree to send Henderson back out on-loan for another 12 months in order to improve his top flight experience.
Henderson has spent this season on-loan with Sheffield United and produced a string of impressive performances for Chris Wilder's men before the campaign was suspended due to COVID-19.
The 23-year-old was on the verge of being named in Gareth Southgate's England squad before football was postponed until further notice.
