Anthony Martial has been backed to become an "elite no.9 goalscorer" amid his recent impressive form for Man Utd. The Frenchman arrived at Old Trafford with plenty of promise in 2015, but has so far failed to live up to the hype following his £58million move from Monaco.
After an initially prosperous start to life at United, Martial's form declined under former boss Jose Mourinho, and it even looked possible he could leave the club at one stage.
But the 24-year-old is enjoying a resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and has been producing some red-hot displays for his side since the restart, prompting ex-United midfielder Darren Fletcher to sing his praises. "I thought Anthony Martial was fantastic," Fletcher said on MUTV Group Chat
