Rio Ferdinand has highlighted Anthony Martial as the biggest beneficiary of Jose Mourinho's sacking at Manchester United. The Frenchman, who was signed by Louis van Gaal in 2015, struggled for confidence under the Portuguese manager.
It looked as if he would've been offloaded had the current Tottenham boss remained at Old Trafford. But he appeared a player reborn once Ole Gunnar Solskjaer succeeded Mourinho in December 2018.
Martial was again finding the net and has carried that form over into this season where he has a career high 22 goals thus far.
