EMMERDALE star Jason Merrells has opened up to fans about feeling like "s**t" after failing to land new work this year. The soap actor took to Twitter with an angry rant, explaining he felt "so undignified" as he was still left waiting for any acting jobs.
Jason, 52, who is best known for his role as Home Farm owner Declan Macey in ITV soap Emmerdale, opened up about his work-related woes.
The star, who has also appeared in Finding Alice, Casualty and Cutting It, admitted that the demand for auditions had slowed down as he got older.
He told fans on Twitter: "Staring at phone that won’t ring. Waiting on a job. 25-plus years doing this and it don’t get easier. “I know there are worse jobs, I’ve done some, but being 50 odd and still playing.
