BBC Newsnight presenter Emily Maitlis ' remarks about Dominic Cummings sparked nearly 250 complaints to broadcasting regulator Ofcom.
The presenter stated on air that Cummings had broken lockdown guidance, a fact which has been confirmed by the police despite the government's initial denial.
Her comments were condemned by the BBC for breaking impartiality guidelines, and for the following night's show she was replaced by Katie Razzall.
