Elsa Keslassy International CorrespondentAMC Networks’ streaming service Sundance Now has acquired North American rights to “The Dreamers,” a series directed by Maysaloun Hamoud (“In Between”), a rising Hungarian-born Palestinian filmmaker.The thought-provoking crime comedy series screened at Series Mania Forum 2019 and went on to play at several festivals, including Zurich. “The Dreamers” was produced by Shlomi Elkabetz (“Gett,” “Our Boys”) and Galit Cahlon (“In Between”) at the banner Deux Beaux Garcons, and was commissioned by the powerful Israeli cabler HOT, whose hit shows include “In Treatment,” “Euphoria” and “Losing Alice.”Set against the backdrop of rising tensions in the Gaza Strip,”The Dreamers” tells the story of three young Palestinian students who travel to Tel Aviv in 2008 and try to establish a new and liberated Palestinian community for themselves.

London Grammar have announced details of a new London show as part of this year’s South Facing Festival.The band will perform at the Crystal Palace Bowl amphitheatre in Crystal Palace Park on July 29, with support coming from George Fitzgerald and Tora-I + Oklou (DJ set).The show is part of the open-air concert series which began last year, and will this year run from July 29 to August 21.Tickets for London Grammar’s show go on general sale at 11am on Monday (February 28) and can be purchased here.We're over the moon to welcome @londongrammar & @georgefitzmusic to South Facing 2022!Tickets go on sale Friday 25th February.

The Batman star Colin Farrell has said his character, The Penguin, wasn’t allowed to smoke in the film.The actor, set to play the antagonist in Matt Reeves’ forthcoming DC film, told Jakes Takes that he had fought for the Penguin to smoke a cigar.Warner Bros’ reasoning came from the studio’s vigilance about showing cigarettes onscreen in superhero films, despite other iterations of the Penguin (real name Oswald “Oz” Chesterfield Cobblepot) famously smoking from a cigarette holder.“I fought valiantly for a cigar, I even said at one stage, ‘Can I have it unlit,’ and they were like no,” Farrell said.“The Oz that we meet hasn’t embodied the energy of the Penguin that we recognise from the source comics and from previous films, so I’ll see if it goes again. I’d love to explore it because he’s not an underboss, he’s not a boss, he’s just a soldier of Falcone at this stage.“But he has great ambition and dreams of doing big big things.”Meanwhile, Farrell’s co-star Paul Dano, who plays The Riddler, said he had trouble sleeping while preparing for the role.“There were some nights around that I probably didn’t sleep as well as I would’ve wanted to just because it was a little hard to come down from this character,” Dano told Entertainment Weekly, discussing a specific scene with Peter Sarsgaard’s character Gil Colson.

Shadow Warrior 3 will be available on subscription service PlayStation Now from next week, Devolver Digital has announced.Originally due out 2021, Shadow Warrior 3 was delayed to sometime in 2022, eventually receiving a release date of March 1.
