A woman has been jailed for hiding a leathal sawn-off shotgun and cocaine at her home for drug dealers. Police found the modified BSA Snipe 12 bore single barrel shotgun - as well as 14 cartridges of ammunition - in the loft of Amanda Morrison's home in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Officers also discovered 200 grams of high-purity cocaine with a street value of £16,101 - and drug dealing paraphernalia. Jailing Morrison, a judge said the addict had been abused by men since childhood and had been 'an easy target, coerced into storing the 'fearsome' weapon and drugs.

Officers executed a search warrant at her flat at Red Gables on Taunton Road at 8am on May 1, 2019. Morrison told police 'there's a shotgun in the attic'.
