EastEnders icon Shaun Williamson made an appearance on The One Show on Tuesday night before a special episode of the soap was re-aired.
Shaun played Barry Evans between 1994 and 2004 before he was killed off in one of the most memorable moments of the soap ever.But he told One Show hosts Alex Jones and Gethin Jones of the pressures of fame back in the day when EastEnders was at the height of its popularity.Speaking of the episode, which would look at the love square between Peggy Mitchell, Frank Butcher, Pat Evans and Roy Evans, Shaun said the public recognition was unimaginable.He said: "At the time there were only four channels so they'd get 20million people on a Tuesday night, it's hard to imagine now."The next day when you walked down.
