EastEnders favourite Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) doesn't get a warm welcome when she returns to Walford next week.Peggy Mitchell's daughter is back and immediately gets on the wrong side of Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) who are less than pleased to see her again.She stays tight lipped about why she’s back but enjoys winding them both up.Jack Branning (Scott Malsen) is alarmed to see Sam and despite her assuring him it's a brief visit, he confides in Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and they agree his son Ricky deserves to know who his mum is.Already causing trouble and reigniting old feuds, Sam’s return does not go down well, but why is she really back in Albert Square?Later in the week, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is furious to discover what his aunt Sam is up to and she secretly worries she is not up to the task at hand.Sharon fears the worst and enlists Kat’s help to find out what exactly Sam is up doing back in Walford.Sam reveals all to Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and tells him she’s leaving that night.Meanwhile, Ricky reels from the news his mum is back in town and at Walford East, has an awkward interaction with her.Denise warns her off but Sam sees an opportunity and confronts her ex Jack.The copper is riled as Sam goes to extreme lengths to get what she wants and he soon gets a worrying phone call.The BBC have revealed a first look at her return showing Sam stood in the Square with her bags having arrived from the airport.She ends up in The Albert and doused in a drink as a furious Sharon rages at her.The younger sister of Phil and Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) has not been seen in Albert Square since 2016, with Danniella Westbrook in the role.Soap bosses announced Sam's imminent return.
