SOAP fans were shocked to discover a memorial to Barry from EastEnders at the location where he was murdered. The hapless businessman- who was played by actor Shaun Williamson - was pushed off a cliff by wife Janine Butcher in 2004.
The scenes were filmed in Scotland off the A83 and and a delighted fan discovered a tribute to Barry in the form of a memorial plaque.
It reads: “Barry from 'EastEnders' DIED HERE 2nd January 2004.” Posting a picture of the plaque on Facebook, the fan wrote: “Found this today at Rest and be Thankful area.” She shared it on Facebook and fellow EastEnders fans were blown away.
One wrote: “I DID NOT KNOW THIS!!!! It's only taken me 16 years to find that out!!! Xxx every day is a school day x” A second said: “Gosh.
