Sharon has been left deeply depressed after her son Dennis Rickman died by drowning during the boat party, which was filmed for the show's 35th anniversary.
On the same day, Sharon gave birth to her new baby and has since struggled to feel like she is "good enough" to care for the newborn.
In scenes aired tonight, Karen knocked on Sharon's door to inform her that Ian Beale had just offered her money to leave Albert Square with the baby.
