East Kilbride woman hurled abuse at shop staff after they asked her to social distance. Jamie Lee Mathers, 30, of North Berwick Crescent, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.She admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at Spar in Westwood Square earlier this year.Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, said Mathers and another person went into the shop at 7am.Ms Cunningham told the court: “One of the employees asked the accused to abide by social distancing guidelines and was met by a barrage of abuse.“Mathers was then asked to leave the shop and continued to shout and swear at the staff.”Mathers admitted an unrelated shoplifting charge involving clothing worth £72 that was recovered.She also admitted threatening or abusive behaviour.
