East Kilbride were among those who gathered outside the Scottish Parliament last week to call for families to be allowed to visit loved ones inside care homes.
Families have been urging the government to relax the restrictions surrounding having family indoors brought about because of the coronavirus pandemic.NHS Lanarkshire said that indoor visits were being “reviewed,” but could not go ahead just yet.We previously highlighted the plight of Natasha Hamilton whose mum has advanced dementia and is resident at a care home in East Kilbride.Her petition calling for one designated family member to be allowed into care homes has secured more than 17,500 signatures and backing from politicians.Labour MSP Monica Lennon raised the issue at First.
