Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

TV legend Eamonn Holmes has spoken movingly about his "loving" wife Ruth Langsford's late sister who was "tortured by mental depression".

Ruth's elder sister Julia Johnson, 62, was found dead at home by her husband in June 2019. The This Morning and Loose Women star was left “distraught” by the tragedy and paid a touching tribute at the time to "the kindest and most gentle soul".

Opening up about their devastating loss, Eamonn told the Daily Star: “It’s just the unanswered questions. “Sudden death is a very, very ­difficult thing to deal with, and with Julia you know, she was just the most lovely, gentile, kind person. “I often used to joke to her and Ruth that I got the wrong sister, but she was a lovely, lovely person – tortured by mental.
