Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is a benefit for people who need help with daily living tasks or getting around outside the home as a result of a long-term illness, disability or mental health condition.
Successful PIP claimants receive between £23.70 and £152.15 per week, and as the benefit is paid every four weeks, that could amount to between £94.80 and £608.60 each month.
Many people are put off making a claim for a number of reasons, but as coronavirus restrictions ease even further, it's a good opportunity to set aside some time and start the process - or at the very least, do a bit of research and consider it.
