Driver left trapped inside Land Rover after major crash with London fire engine

Five people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a Land Rover and a fire engine in south London which left one person trapped.

The driver of the 4x4 had to be cut out by firefighters following the collision on Streatham High Road in the early hours of Monday with the car having been left "demolished" according to a witness.

The fire engine was on a blue light call at the time of the incident at around 1.25am, with the front of the emergency vehicle left 'mangled'.
