A drinker has tested positive for coronavirus after they attended one of Britain's biggest beer gardens over the weekend. The infected person visited a garden capable of holding 500 drinkers which had been erected on a rugby pitch belonging to the Barrow Raiders.
The rugby league side converted the pitch during the lockdown in a bid to recoup money lost as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
An official for the club, which plays two divisions below the Super League in League One, confirmed the positive test on Wednesday.
