Alex George has warned his followers to ‘brace themselves’ amid the Covid-19 crisis.The UK death toll from coronavirus has exceeded 88,000, with its biggest ever daily case count, at 53,135, recorded yesterday.Dr Alex has been updating his Instagram followers on his time working in A&E during the pandemic, and warned people that the situation is ‘at least as bad as March’ in his hospital in Lewisham.

The 30-year-old posted a picture of himself in a face shield and full PPE, and wrote on Instagram: ‘Guys things are pretty rough at the moment.
