A dog cruelly abandoned by her owners after she was run over and needed its legs amputated has been fitted with a new set of wheels and a loving family to match.
The poor pooch was hit by the car in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg in early March. Local media report the owners refused to take care of her and wanted her to be put down, but animal shelter Zoo Protection stepped in to help the injured animal.
They managed to save the pooch's life but had to amputate her crushed back legs. Footage shows the dog – named Tatti by the shelter – struggling to walk with the use of just two fully-working front legs.
But it was a happy ending for Tatti. A resident in the area named Alexander paid for her to get a wheelchair to help it walk.
