A five-year-old boy who doctors feared would never be able to walk, talk or even smile will complete a walking challenge to thank the NHS for saving his life.
Christian Kilduff, from Heywood, is visually impaired and has cerebral palsy, caused by a brain injury. He was stillborn and it took doctors 23 minutes of resuscitation to start his heart and save his life.
As a result of the damage caused to Christian's brain, his family was told he'd never hold his head up, control his limbs, sit up - and never walk.
Since then, Christian has amazed everybody. Christian has learned how to use Makaton sign language to communicate with his loved ones - and now walks with a frame.
