A doctor who was found dead in a ditch was killed by a pack of wild dogs, police in the US state of Georgia said. Dr Nancy Shaw was found dead at about 3am on Thursday shortly after a patrol car spotted her vehicle on the wrong side of the road with the door open and engine running.
Lyons Police Chief Wesley Walker, who found the body, described seeing Dr Shaw’s corpse by the roadside. He told local media: “Got out of the patrol car to investigate and found a female that was deceased in the ditch.” An autopsy result found Dr Shaw had been attacked by a pack of wild dogs, although police gave no further details.
