Marvel's Eternals will still be going ahead with a cinematic-only release, rather than releasing on Disney+ simultaneously, following the cinema performance of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
It was announced yesterday (September 10) that all of Disney's six remaining theatrical releases for 2021 are staying that way, at least within the US – with five of them getting a minimum of 45 days in cinemas before hitting the streaming service.
As well as Eternals, the other films within that window are West Side Story, The King's Man, The Last Duel and Ron's Gone Wrong (via CNBC).
The sixth film, Encanto, will debut in cinemas at the end of November, where it will screen exclusively for 30 days before coming to Disney+ on Christmas Eve..
