Dozens of birds are to be culled after an outbreak of Bird Flu was confirmed on a farm in Lancashire. A disease control zone has been declared around Preston, South Ribble, Wyre and Fylde after Avian Influenza was detected.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has said that all birds on the infected farm will be killed. The disease control zone came into force at 8.30pm on Friday night (November 12) and reaches more than 10km in every direction from the farm.
