A disabled nine-year-old girl has been left unable to wash as council delays to fix problems in the family home, leave her without a working hoist or shower.

Anaya Dinsmore was born with Rett syndrome - a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, resulting in severe mental and physical disability.

She is unable to walk or talk and needs round-the-clock care, including the use of a hoist and shower seat, Hull Live reports.
