pitchfork.comDirty Projectors will release a new EP this Friday (March 27). It’s called Window Opens and it’s being released by Domino. Today, they’ve released a new song called “Search for Life.” Have a listen below.
All of the EP’s songs, including the previously shared single “Overlord,” feature lead vocals from the band’s guitarist Maia Friedman.
Dave Longstreth wrote, produced, and mixed Windows Open; he co-wrote the lyrics with Friedman. The band’s lineup on the EP is: Longstreth, Friedman, Felicia Douglass, Kristin Slipp, and Mike Johnson.
Last week, Dave Longstreth shared his cover of John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band classic “Isolation.” The recording’s proceeds went to benefit Recording Academy and MusiCares’ new COVID-19 Relief Fund.
