Dancing Dimitri Van den Bergh reeled off 10 straight legs to edge past Peter Wright 16-14 in a World Matchplay classic at the Winter Gardens. The 2020 winner seemed to be on his way out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage after surrendering five of the first six legs to the Scotsman.

But as Wright struggled with his darts - and his doubles - Van den Bergh set to work reducing that four-leg deficit to take control of the match.

In the end he didn't just reduce the deficit, he turned it on his head. Van den Bergh won the next 10 legs on the bounce to move 11-5 ahead and to within five legs of victory.
