Dimitar Berbatov has named his former Manchester United teammate Nemanja Vidic as the toughest opponent he has ever faced. The two players became teammates in 2008 when Berbatov arrived at Old Trafford in a £34.2million move and they went on to enjoy great success together.
However, before they were colleagues they were on opposing sides as Berbatov established himself in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Bulgarian has faced a long-list of quality defenders in his time but none were as tough as the burly Serbian. "I always say one name, first I played against him and then with him and it was Vidic," Berbatov told talkSPORT when asked who his toughest opponent was during his career.
