Her parents were told she had contracted Group B Strep, which results in the deaths of more than 50 babies in the UK every year.
But the diagnosis of the infection came 24 hours after mum Sally and dad Daniel said goodbye to Elsie.A letter confirming that Elsie had contracted GBS contained potentially life-saving information about the infection.The couple are now looking to raise awareness of the condition after their tragic loss.
