Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

Dermot O'Leary admits first time he met Alison Hammond was debut This Morning gig

Dermot O'Leary has admitted he properly met Alison Hammond the first time they presented This Morning together.Dermot, 48, and Alison, 47, replaced married couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes on the popular ITV show early last year.The duo were met with high praise after their first gig and have been fan favourites ever since.Speaking at the BAFTAs about their first show together, the former X Factor judge exclusively told Daily Star: “We were chucked in, we didn’t event get a chance to meet before we went on air because of Covid."He continued: "So we didn’t a read through, we didn’t do a lunch, we didn’t do a chemistry test, we couldn't even get our zoom right."We were on two separate zooms for like an hour going ‘I don’t think I’m on the right one' and she was like 'I’m not on the right one either.'" He went on to say the first time they "properly talked" was during two and a half hours of live television.

The broadcaster added: "We've come a long way!"When asked if they share tips with each other, the dad-of-one revealed it's more "unspoken" now because they have got to know each other so well that they "know each other's nuisances".The presenter explained that the "in jokes" start to come out after you've worked with someone for a long period of time.

He gushed: "It feels like I’m doing TV with a really old friend now and I’ve never really co-presented before, apart from back in the day with T4."Dermot admitted: "We’re like brothers and sisters definitely!

It’s very nice. Very nice!"Dermot and Alison both arrived on the red carpet earlier today for the BAFTA TV Awards 2022. The BBC Radio 2 presenter looked dapper in a black suit and a matching tie which he paired with a crisp white shirt.
