Denise Welch stalker pleads guilty after 'setting her house on fire as she slept'

An obsessed fan has pleaded guilty to stalking Loose Women star Denise Welch and setting her home on fire as she slept with her husband, a court has heard today.

Appearing at Chester Crown Court on Monday, Toraq Wyngard, 63, of Salford, Greater Manchester, was charged with arson, possession of a bladed article, criminal damage, and stalking to cause fear alarm or distress.

He had previously denied the charges and was set to face a two-day trial before changing his plea to guilty on Monday.The Sun reports that judge Michael Leeming has ordered a psychiatric report for Wyngard, who already suffers from bipolar disorder.
