Demolition work begins at Rangers' Ibrox fan zone as machines start tearing down building

Rangers' fan zone ahead of an ambitious redevelopment. Pictures today show the roof has been ripped off Edmiston House, which sits behind the Copland Road stand at Ibrox, and walls and rooms demolished inside.

Heavy vehicles were spotted at work yesterday bringing down the building, which was formerly the Blue's ticket office, but appeared to be more quiet today.

The club submitted plans to Glasgow City Council to demolish the building in December. In August, we told of the ambitious redevelopment plans to create a new fan zone on the site, with shops as well as a museum honouring Rangers heroes and supporters through the club's nearly 150 year history.
