RB Leipzig manager Julian Nagelsmann has backed Dayot Upamecano to take the "next step" in his development after his blunder against Paris Saint-Germain.
Upamecano gifted the ball to Moise Kean early in Wednesday's Champions League tie, allowing the on-loan Everton forward to feed Angel Di Maria, who opened the scoring.
Leipzig recovered from falling behind to win 2-1 and go second in Group H behind Manchester United, who thrashed the Bundesliga side 5-0 last week.
Upamecano, 22, remains heavily linked with United and a number of European giants, but Nagelsmann was keen to stress the French centre-back still needs to improve his judgement. "The mistakes he's making are all starting the same way," the Leipzig boss said after the match.
