The former England wideman, once tipped to become the next David Beckham, retired in 2013 at the young age of just 29, having been without a club for over a year too.
His best and most enjoyable days came at Blackburn, who he left Arsenal to sign for on a permanent basis in 2006 after a successful spell on loan at Ewood Park.
Bentley broke into the England set-up while shining for Rovers in the Premier League. But after being encouraged to quit Blackburn by Three Lions boss Fabio Capello, his career took a turn.
