Scots youth football team stunned after David Beckham joins Zoom call

David Beckham surprised them with a brilliant video message during their virtual end of season dinner. Edinburgh squad Spartans 08, made up of 12-year-old players, were on a team Zoom call when the former England captain appeared on the screen.

Around 50 stunned players and parents watched as the ex-Manchester United ace flashed his famous smile and pledged to try and watch them play during his next visit to the capital.In a video message David Beckham said: “Hi Spartans Reds, it’s David Beckham here, I just wanted to say I hope you enjoy your player of the year dinner tonight.”He added: “Maybe one day, when I’m in Edinburgh next, I can come and see you all play.
