For he and his beloved wife Sandra, both 73, have taken on a new, more relaxing, TV project – Celebrity Gogglebox. In the Channel 4 series, starting on June 5, they will watch telly highlights but, unlike in previous series, lockdown means they will be filmed by a single mounted camera, not a film crew.
New celebrity viewers will also include Love Island lovers Iain Stirling and Laura Whitmore, boxer Nicola Adams and her partner Ella Baig, and, as revealed this month, Zoe Ball and her son Woody Cook, 19.
