BBC Breakfast hosts Dan Walker and Naga Munchetty risked the wrath of their producer this morning after going off-script while reading the daily newspaper front pages.
The presenters were speaking about the recent study that found the number of people that are sitting for more than four and a half hours a day has risen sharply.“The number has jumped 22.5% in 15 years, with more than half of us potentially risking our health for sitting down for too long,” Dan says, in a clip from the show.“Sitting for too long increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and death.”Naga then puts her newspaper down and explains a problem in her profession with the stats.“We sit down for three hours a day, I am going to upset the director now,” she says before.
