The grieving father of a young woman found dead in her Shetland home has broken his silence.Claire Leveque was discovered after police were called to reports of an alleged disturbance at a property in the Sandness area on Sunday, February 11.The 24-year-old Canadian national was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.A 39-year-old man was rushed to hospital for treatment before later being charged with murder by investigators.

I just want justice.”He added that he is now trying to remain focused on positive things such as spending time doing the things she loved.Aren Pearson appeared in private at Lerwick Sheriff Court where he faced a single charge of murder on Thursday, February 15.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.The case was submitted for further examination by prosecutors with the suspect expected back in the dock within eight days.Multiple police vehicles, ambulances and HM Coastguard teams were seen at the nearby Melby pier area after the incident was reported.
