Crufts ' 129th year as the world’s greatest dog show has come to an end, battling coronavirus fears and avoiding streakers. If the show has inspired you, and you were thinking of entering your pet next year, then you may want to check if his or her name fits.
The Kennel Club has very strict rules regarding dog names, meaning your average Milo, Teddy, Poppy and Billy may not make the cut.
According to Crufts rules, dog names must not exceed 24 letters and may include the kennel name. But it’s not as simple as picking a name out of the hat, as you have to apply online.
