Cristiano Ronaldo has been cautioned by police after smacking a phone out of a young Everton fan's hand last season.Ronaldo reacted angrily during Manchester United's 1-0 defeat away to Everton, and while exiting down the tunnel he appeared to slap Jacob Harding’s hand as he left the pitch.

Ronaldo later apologised to the 14 year old and was interviewed by police under caution in relation to an alleged assault and criminal damage earlier this month.It's now been confirmed that police have cautioned the 37-year-old following the incident, and Merseyside Police have released the following statement: "We can confirm that a 37-year-old man voluntarily attended and was interviewed under caution in relation to an allegation of assault and criminal damage.
