Covid rules will last beyond June, a top Tory confirmed today - despite reports the one-metre-plus social distancing limit will be axed.

Dominic Raab said "there will still need to be some safeguards in place" even after legal restrictions are meant to end from June 21.

The Foreign Secretary said a review "will be particularly I think around distancing, maybe there’ll be something around masks", telling the BBC: "Those are just some of the options." It comes despite the Mail on Sunday reporting the one-metre-plus social distancing rule in pubs and restaurants will be axed in Step Four of England's lockdown roadmap, from June 21 at the earliest.
