Couple crushed to death while watching show celebrating coronavirus hero workers

mirror.co.ukA nurse and her husband have died in a freak accident as they watched a show dedicated to coronavirus health workers at a theatre in Wuhan.
The couple were tragically killed when they became trapped between rotating chairs as they tried to rescue their son who slipped under the seat.
The boy survived after falling onto a safety net underneath but both his parents were crushed to death. The nurse, who has not been named, is believed to have worked at Wuhan Tongji Hospital and fought on the frontline against the coronavirus outbreak in the former epicentre for the killer bug.
The news sparked outrage after officials in Wuhan confirmed the deaths on Thursday - 12 days after the couple died. They claimed they had carried out emergency rescue
