Councillor returns to Conservative Party after blasting former colleagues

Coun Diane Parkinson, who represents Hulton ward on Bolton council, sensationally left the Conservatives along with another Tory member, Beverley Fletcher, in January this year.

At that time they said they 'didn’t feel the council have stood up to the government enough to support and protect Bolton'. Coun Fletcher remains an independent member of the council but Coun Parkinson has now reversed her decision and rejoined Bolton's current leading party.
