Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has adopted homeschooling after her daughter fell ill. Samia, who plays Maria Connor in Corrie, is keeping her daughter Freya and her four-year-old son Yves off school because Freya fell ill with a cough and sore throat amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Samia doesn’t think 10-year-old Freya has coronavirus but she says she and her husband Sylvain decided to be extra careful during the pandemic and keep both children at home.

Addressing her followers in an Instagram stories video she told how she’s been using a homeschooling website to keep the children entertained.
