The villain - played by Mikey North on the ITV soap - is sick of Ali sniffing around his fiance Maria Connor and decides to teach him a lesson.
Corrie fans know that Ali has been in the middle of a love triangle with Maria and Gary for months. The doctor was previously dating the hairdresser but dumped her after his diazepam addiction got the better of him.
Ali was quick to regret his decision and has since been stepping on Gary's toes to get Maria back. In an episode next week, after discovering that Ali and Maria have slept together, Gary decides to teach the doctor a lesson.
