Coronation Street viewers were left devastated when Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) was brutally killed off in a savage attack by Corey Brent (Maximus Evans).Seb was beaten to death in the street and later died in hospital, with Kelly Neelan taking the fall and being sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 15 years.But while viewers know it was really Corey who landed the killer blows, actor Maximus has defended his character's actions.Speaking to Daily Star and other publications, Maximus said: "I only saw Seb’s death as a very accidental killing in the sense that his emotions completely took over him and ultimately caused a lot of damage and death."I never saw Corey as a murderer, I saw him as this small vulnerable young lad.
