A toilet paper factory has been receiving desperate calls from homeless shelters and schools. Channel 4's Dispatches investigated the massive surge in toilet paper demand as suppliers try to cope with a £17m increase in sales in tonight's special episode - Coronavirus : Will Our Supermarkets Cope?.

Desperate shoppers across the country have resorted to stockpiling and panic buying - leaving many shelves empty and NHS workers and the elderly unable to purchase food.

Normal production of 130,000 rolls a week has increased to 170,000 rolls a week – the maximum they are able to produce at any one time.
