Kate Middleton once gave away one of her secret names to an unbeknown shopkeeper in Wales. The Duchess of Cambridge, 40, used to live in North Wales with husband Prince William soon after their said their ‘I dos’ in 2011.
Royal couple Kate and William rented a farmhouse near the seaside resort of Rhosneigr in Anglesey as, at the time, William, 39, was based as a search and rescue pilot at nearby RAF Valley.
Kate was often spotted visiting local supermarkets in the area, including a watersports store. At the store, Kate – a keen watersports fan – suffered an embarrassing moment when she discovered she’d forgotten her purse while purchasing a wetsuit.
Following her faux pas, the now-40 year old asked the shopkeeper Dave Buckland, who didn’t recognise the royal, if she could reserve the suit and come back for it.
