Only five people will be allowed to attend church weddings in a new rule to help curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus. The Church of England has issued the guidelines as the number of cases in the UK hit 3,269.
It comes as at least 31 guests who attended a wedding tested positive for coronavirus, including a pregnant woman and a member of parliament.
The move means only the priest, the bride and groom and two witnesses will be able to attend church weddings - the legal minimum allowed.
