Coronavirus medic, 23, has bike stolen from hospital as she works on ward

A medic who has been transferred into a coronavirus ward to help deal with the growing pandemic says she was “really hurt” to find her bike had been stolen from a rack near the hospital’s entrance.

Physiotherapist Lauren O'Hara says she was “exhausted” after finishing a long shift at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital at 5pm on Tuesday but when she left the ward to cycle home she found that the bike was gone.

The 23-year-old, from Hyndland in Glasgow, works in the hospital's intensive care unit and uses her bike to travel back and forth.

Lauren told the Daily Record: "When I realised my bike was gone I just felt really hurt. "To think people could be so mean as to do this, far less during a pandemic, is awful." Lauren's Nature
